- Respond to support requests
- Comply with legal obligations
FinBot provides educational information only — not personalized financial, legal, or tax advice.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share limited data with:
- Service providers that host our backend, deliver push notifications, or provide authentication (for example, Google Sign-In), under contracts that require them to protect your data
- Market data providers when you request live quotes, charts, or news — typically no personal identity is shared beyond what is needed for API access
- Legal authorities if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security
Leaderboard and discussion features may display your first name or display name and performance statistics to other users. We do not share your email publicly on leaderboards.
5. Data storage and security
Your data is stored on secure cloud servers (for example, AWS). We use industry-standard measures such as encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we work to protect your information but cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data retention
We retain your account and learning data while your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion, we will remove or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain information for legal, security, or backup purposes.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access a copy of your personal data
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

For step-by-step instructions on accessing, correcting, or deleting your data, see our User Privacy Choices page. You can also contact us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before processing requests.
8. Children’s privacy
RiseWise is designed for teens learning about finance. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate parental consent as required by law (including COPPA in the United States). If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information without consent, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
9. International users
RiseWise may be used in multiple countries. Your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate. By using RiseWise, you understand that your data may be transferred to jurisdictions with different data protection laws than your own.
10. Third-party links and services
Our app or website may link to third-party sites or services (for example, market news articles or sign-in providers). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing personal information.
