Your Privacy Choices

1. Access or download your data

You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, including your profile, learning progress, paper trading history, and FinBot chat history.

How: Email [email protected] from the address linked to your RiseWise account with the subject line “Data Access Request.” We will verify your identity and respond within 30 days.

2. Correct or update your information

You can update some information directly in the app:

• Display name / profile — Profile screen in the RiseWise app
• Sign-in email — Managed through your Google account settings
• Risk profile — Retake the onboarding assessment in the app (if available)

3. Delete your account and data

You may request permanent deletion of your RiseWise account and associated personal data, including lesson progress, portfolio simulations, chat history, Piggy Bank rules, and leaderboard entries.

How to request deletion:

1. Email [email protected] from your account email with the subject “Account Deletion Request.”
2. Include the email address you use to sign in to RiseWise.
3. We will confirm and delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Parents and guardians: If your child under 18 uses RiseWise, you may request deletion on their behalf using the same process and identifying the child’s account email.

4. Opt out of optional data uses

RiseWise does not sell personal information. You can still limit optional features:

• Leaderboard visibility — Your display name and ranking may appear on leaderboards. To opt out, request removal via [email protected] or delete your account.
• Discussion & comments — Avoid posting in news comments or the discussion board if you prefer not to share content publicly. You may request removal of past posts by emailing support.
• FinBot chat history — Clear chat history in the app (Menu → FinBot) or request full deletion via email.
• Marketing emails — RiseWise does not currently send promotional emails. If we introduce them, you will be able to unsubscribe in every message.

5. California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

• Know what personal information we collect and how it is used
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Correct inaccurate personal information
• Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information
• Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights

We do not sell or share personal information as defined under California law. To exercise any right, email [email protected]. You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

6. EEA, UK, and other regions (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar laws, you may have additional rights including data portability, restriction of processing, and objection to processing based on legitimate interests.

7. Authorized agents & verification

We may ask you to verify your identity before fulfilling a privacy request (for example, by confirming access to the email on your account). Authorized agents must provide proof of authorization and the user’s identity.
